Production Line Audit

Professional skiller from UPC will come to Audit every production line before running the mass production for each products, make sure it is to meet the standard for packaging, below is the process of production by Audit:

1. Raw materials
Silica sand, Soda ash, limestone, and cullet (crushed glass), others
2. Batch House
Weighing and mixing of raw materials, and transport to the hopper at the melting furnace
3. Melting
Melting of mixed raw materials about 1,550 c° in the melting furnace
4. Feeding
Feeding of glass gob at optimum temperature suitable to bottle weight and shape is fed into a glass bottle-forming machine via the feeder
5. Forming
Forming of bottle by the glass bottle-forming machine for designed bottle shape
6. Annealing
Annealing of bottles as they leave the glass bottle-forming machine
7.Coating
After Annealing, cool end coating make bottle more stronger
8. Inspection
A bottle is strictly checked on Automatic inspection machine and visually inspect each bottle to confirm quality by skilled technicans

                             △H=Hmax-Hmin ————————————(2)

In the equation:

△H ——mouth nonparallelism(mm);

Hmax——maximum height(mm);

Hmin——minimum height(mm).

5.2.8 bottle flatness

The bottom of the bottle should be placed on the horizontal plate and stable, with each level 0.05mm incremental feeler from thin to thick piece by piece to measure the gap between the bottle and the plate. If the sample is not moving and feel to reach the inside of the bottle, then that the stopper has been stuffed to the maximum thickness of the plug can be stuffed into the flatness of the bottle.

5.2.9 Mouth inner and outer diameter

Measure with a special pass gauge or vernier caliper with the scale value of 0.02 mm.

5.3 Appearance

In the non-direct light, the distance for visual inspection should be around 30cm. If necessary, use vernier caliper, special measuring tools, feeler or magnifying glass to measure, or compared with the sealed sample.

5.4 Lead and cadmium dissolution

The lead and cadmium dissolution should be tested as GB/T 20858 specified.

  1. Inspection rules

6.1 Inspection should proceed as the secondary sampling scheme described in GB/T 2828.1. Each batch should be consisted with products which have the same type, same composition, same size, same level, same period of time and same conditions. It may also required by both parties to the contract or agreement if necessary.

6.2 The inspection result should be expressed as the percentage of the unacceptable product. The inspection level (IL) and the acceptance quantity level (AQL) are shown in Table 7.

6.3 Hydrolytic resistance of the interior surfaces and the lead and cadmium dissolution should be normally tested once a week. In the event of a failure, the product is judged to be unacceptable and the product should be retrospective within a week prior to the date of sampling.

  1. Logo , packaging, transportation and storage

7.1 Logo

Each package should be qualified or qualified label, specified with the name of the manufacturer, site, product name, specification, quantity, date of manufacture, inspection of the name of the packaging staff (code) and warnings such as “glass product” “fragile”, “handle with care “, etc.

7.2 Packaging

It is recommended to choose the appropriate packaging, such as wrap-shrink packaging, carton packaging, to reduce the impact of improper packaging on the quality of glass bottles. The packaging material should keep the product clean and not easily broken.

7.3 Transportation

The transportation must prevent violent vibration. The loading and unloading should be handled gently.

7.4 Storage

Storage should be dry, ventilated, no rain and snow invasion, to prevent moisture. They should be avoided to mix with the oil, acid and alkali substances. Storage height should be appropriate when stacked.

(Specification appendix )

Formula for the height tolerance and the body outer diameter tolerance

A.1 Height tolerance

Calculate as Formula A.1:

                     TH=±(0.6+0.004H) ……………………………(A.1)

In the equation:

TH——Height tolerance(mm);

H——Bottle height(mm).

A.2 Body outer diameter tolerance

Calculate as Formula A.2:

                    TD=±(0.5+0.012D)……………………………(A.2)

In the equation:

TD——Body outer diameter tolerance(mm);

D——Body outer diameter(mm).
